For those who can't afford Adobe Photoshop and are tired of MS Paint, there is a FREE program called GIMP. It works on Mac or PC and is as good or better than Adobe Photoshop. Many of our Sagan 4 team memebers use GIMP so if you have any questions about it ask it here. Good luck and happy Gimping!

Which is what i meant by 'just down feathers'. Seriously, some of these guys jump the gun a lot.

QUOTE (Blarg)
Exactly. I mean, the scientist called them "feather-like." They weren't just SIMILAR to feathers, they WERE feathers. Specifically, the downy kind you see on baby chicks.

QUOTE (BioCat)
How weird. You have to wonder how common these floods are so such a behavior could evolve.

QUOTE (NinthMusketeer)

-Mutation ocuurs in one of many fire ant colonies that lets that colony do this
-Flood comes, kills all other colonies
-The one colony that survived reproduces and the trait is now present in the whole population
