That would work nicely. There is also room for something that seeks out dead plents only to dig out the metamorphosing larvae from under it. Shrogs that intentionally spread clogmanes to make plents easier prey is another, or as a way to debone plents if they find some use for a boneless carcass as part of their crafts.
Plentent camping?
