The flat diamiarm split from its ancestor and has adapted to feeding on the cavern floor. With food being plentiful in vast carpets of villigrass dotted with table cushions, the flat diamiarm could afford to grow much larger than what would be expected for a cave dweller. The flat diamiarm's most notable adaptation is its flatter central crystal, which allows it to easily traverse the cave's floor. Their arms have also changed, with each arm being significantly wider and flatter than its ancestors'. This increases the amount of food it can consume at once. If it is lucky enough to capture a magnekite or a borewurm, it will wrap the outer edges of its arm around its prey in order to better digest its prey. However, this is rare. The flat diamiarm primarily consumes carrion and flora. Like their ancestor, they move by dragging themselves across the cave floor, gripping onto the rocks with its finger-tipped arms.
