I'm loving the color patterns on this, the contrast between the purple shade of the back and the creamier colors of the underbelly are superb.

Do they have any tactics for dealing or interactions with the larger inhabitants of the river, such as the River Lyngbakr? For example, might they topple logs into the water to create zones where large predators would have difficulty maneuvering, creating safer spots for themselves to hunt?

This is what happens when a chimpanzee gets an architectural degree.

It's an interesting design, artwork, and execution of concept. I suspect you added two species of large flora specifically to give these something to use, from how prominently the Four-Prongion is shown.

"mate with who’s sexy enough" That's a weird word choice for an animal/fauna. I believe the word generally used in this context is "attractive".

I had actually put this species on hold and forgotten about it until after I made those trees. I'd originally put it on hold for lack of building materials, but I didn't have it in mind when I made those trees. I basically accidentally fixed the concept, which allowed me to return to it. This actually happened with several other seashrog descendants I have in my plan doc that moved inland, too.

I've changed sexy to attractive. I'll look into the river lyngbakr thing later, as I only just woke up.

I've edited in a note about the river lyngbakr, and I've also made note of their nests being pretty widely spaced from one another.

Are you using "Maineiac Boreal" as a shorthand for any watersheds in that habitat? Otherwise, it seems odd to put it there.

It will travel into the forest for more wood if there's not any available right on the floodplain. When I was working on another species with similar behavior, Mnidjm said I would need to include biomes that it only enters for wood.

It's best to mention, ideally in the template itself, that it goes into the Boreal Forest only for wood, rather than outright living there. I think some organisms (in Beta) specify living in some environments only for nesting.

Edited.
