Its description is fascinating, and its art is beautiful.

I concur... though admittedly, with how close May 4th was, I keep imagining this thing making Darth Vader quotes to the normal Shroom Herder.

*EDIT*
Any interactions between this and the shroom-eating Gamergate Gundis of Darwin, especially since the Tamed Berry Arbourshrooms are among the shrooms that flourish within the shroom fields?

Thank you, and I've added a detail on that

It is unclear which biome the cave borders. (I also forgot this isn't like Beta, where caves inherit the type of the biome their entrance is in)

I'll say it looks to be a cross border cave system, so there are cave entrances in both.

I would like to make an argument that this falls under range exception. This species does not live full-time in caves, in fact it depends on them less than bats do--bats need caves to roost, while darth shroom herders can "herd shrooms" elsewhere. Bats are not a textbook wildcard; countless species exist across 2 temperature types plus the caves they need to roost, too much for it to be a rare special exception. Further, the darth shroom herder cannot exist only in the cave, as it must bring logs from the surrounding forest to feed its shroom farms.

That's something we'll have to address later. For now, I'll accept it
