Huh, I could have sworn I used it for Beta at some point, but I didn't find any search queries for it. I'll edit.

Edited into the last paragraph.

Should I work my last clarification into the description?

I feel that the "gathering" of the eyes should be slightly more thoroughly described, with it being mentioned that the developmental "eye line" has essentially compressed into a tight and slightly asymmetrical zig-zag.

"developmental wackiness" also sounds a little too lay to me. maybe "developmental peculiarities" would be more fitting there.

Here's this

Retconning the incisors to have been a chin spike in the first place seems like the best course of action to me, as annoying as it is.

Wasn't aware, but probably a good rule to have in some cases.

Did the 2-species Radiodurans lineage ever influence anything?

Edit: Nevermind, it does seem to have a few predators, mostly infectoids.

Time to hunt down more of these if i can

I have to wonder about this species and similar ones: can those "hands" actually move, or are they each just a static piece used like a shovel or hook? If they can move, why aren't they segmented like the toes (or vice versa, why would the toes have segments?)

this is just that thing from The Eternal Cylinder

Any interactions with the (now seemingly ill-fated) Kurtback? (if you didn't see it, it's because it's pushed way back in the forum due to lack of comments)

I wonder if this could become anything like the Enud again after some time (if it had any reason to).

Or if these guys could start producing a more dinosaur-like head shape like Dorite said this lineage could be able to.

I mean, it's just a beakworm, so I think you could just look to its ancestors to see how this one might breathe.

The branch seems to decrease in thickness as it goes higher which probably makes that a complex question @Coolsteph

It doesn't seem like too long of a copied section, but maybe vary the word order and the choice of words so that it's more of a paraphrase than a plagiarism.

Unusually terse species description for you, Dorite.

Could you elaborate a little more on the sexual reproduction, perhaps clarifying that "small" and "large" spores are meant to represent anisogamous reproduction (if they do)? I don't think "entering" would be the correct term for gamete fusion anyway (unless there's a teeny tiny door that the little one goes through, lol).

Meaning, and now that I think about it this makes sense, it can't really control how much it discharges at a time, instead only being able to use the option tuned to its larger predators?

Ancestor still hasn't been corrected

It's a little hard to discern the coloration. Does the back have a broad sort of darkish stripe on it or is that a result of random gradient and/or shading?

Would this thing even need to kill its smaller predators? I'd think producing enough to just scare away or stun the predator would be optimal in terms of energy efficiency and would minimize potential self-harm.

Delightfully repulsive name choice.

If you're using a theoretical process, I think it may be important to describe its mechanism of functioning and its limits. You're straying into essentially uncharted territory.

Regarding the beach type on that island: I know, but you have the subpolar beach listed, too.

Was this inspired by the landmark I made in Beta or is it just a coincidence that we both made Oklo clones?

I assume this is present on all of the subtropical beaches on Vonnegut, including the big volcanic island? If so, I'm wondering if this interacts with the Kurtback in any meaningful way given the harsher conditions than the temperate part of its range. Probably not, but it's something to think about.
