anyway the colors on these remind me of the three cobble-family stone types in Minecraft. I don't have any other real input since I know diddly-squat about this lineage.

Maybe a description on how their forests develop and spread?

Maybe something to do with low spore survival despite, or causing, the huge numbers, taking advantage of disturbance or succession how they are slower initially compared to the purple Flora with seeds, but can survive in the lower light because they take advantage of a greater range, that sort of thing.

Kind of like how some baby conifers just hang out on the forest floor and underbrush until there's a break in the canopy then shoot up.
