This is a sort of pleasant surprise! While I'm not the biggest fan of previous implementations of animations as main images, this one's kind of nice, since it can still be recognized by a still frame. Maybe a future submission could go a step further and have an animation for a cuttlefish-like pattern?

I could see this leading to a more sessile angler using colorful bait, and a fast launching tongue.

Very squat and silly looking.

Also, the nasal gills would allow it to be a more shimmering twilight predator rather than shallower regions.

I am wondering how long they take to mature, mostly due to pondering rearing them in mangal cages as colorful food.

@Coolsteph I know you're not available much at the moment, but can you at least look at this? Like, literally, stare into its eyes or something.

I'm not sure how it can be represented on the wiki, but it's impressive to see submissions get this variable. It's like a circa 2005 Neopets CSS "sparkledog" Lupe (wolf Neopet species), but a big alien eel.
(Yes, I continue to be unavailable for now and the near-future.)
