Most excellent, we've needed a genus like this for a long time.

"million year's time" should be "Million years' time."

"as not to" (so as not to)

If its lower limit is the midnight zone or upper midnight zone (as suggested by " but almost never deeper than the twilight zone;"), why not specify that in the global habitat range?

2 mm is 0.2 cm. The largest size in this range is 25 times larger than the smallest one. I think that is too extreme as a size range for a genus group.

Can something with this body shape and physiology even manage to range from 2 mm to 5 cm without substantial modifications within the group? Think about fairyflies: as they are " mostly ranging from 0.5 to 1.0 mm (0.020 to 0.039 in) long", the very air becomes more viscous at that size, requiring unusual feathery-looking wings.

I like the detail of an "microbial ancestor cameo" in its gametes. It's bizarre, but plausible.

"approximate to a week" Do you mean "6-8 days"? Did you choose this phrasing because the exact number of solar days on Sagan 4 isn't quite the same as that of Earth?

Issues have been resolved.
