How did the bombardier beetle defense mechanism develop? Why would it need something so high-powered when toxic or foul-tasting leaves or regrowing from being eaten work? I recommend looking at the evolution of the bombardier beetle and making this an intermediate step, if the development is even justified. It might help to link it to naringin and wax.

@MNIDJM Why is it in the troposphere? In retrospect, it is odd a rainforest-dweller would be pollinated by the wind, but it existing in the troposphere is a novel and unexplained trait.
