Glassbarrel (Gastrozygo parducadus)
Creator: Bufforpington
Ancestor: Maineiac Glasstower
Habitat: Maineiac Volcanic, Maineiac Temperate Woodland, Maineiac Boreal, Maineiac Rocky, Maineiac Chaparral, Maineiac Temperate Riparian, Maineiac High Grassland, Maineiac Polar Scrub
Size: 32 cm Tall
Diet: Photosynthesis, Filter-Feeder
Reproduction: Sexual, Two Genders, Resilient gametes in fruit

The Glassbarrel split from its ancestor and has grown larger and slightly more resilient. It now produces larger, berry-sized fruits that attract larger frugivores. These fruits will grow inside of the barrel. When they become mature, they detach from the flora and float around in the barrel, ultimately being eaten by frugivores.

The description is a bit short for this one

I can probably expand it a bit more, but I don't think the expanded description will be long enough.

Maybe you can add a paragraph about how it's similar to its ancestor? It's good to keep info fresh to avoid misinterpretation later anyway.

You could talk about the flavor of the berries, at least.

It turns out its ancestor has a very unique method of reproduction within the guts of cloudswarmers or mini-kruggs, so going into detail on that would help. Since its ancestor's gametes "attach to the intestinal wall" if they can't find mates, you could elaborate on how the Glassbarrel's gametes do this, especially if it's an improvement on its ancestor's method. You should also elaborate it's a filter-feeder of Cryoutines, like its ancestor, unless it has an expanded filter-feeding capacity.
