I really love the eye detail, this is probably your best artwork yet!

I think rotting fruit counts as detritus.

I like their red eyes. They look like spooky crow-fish.

Admittedly, I was inspired by cicada compound eyes, so I guess that makes them spooky cicada-crow-fish.

I like the convergent cicada traits of our two species
