I think it would be a really good idea to transfer the info to a google doc or other safe area, honestly.

Osteoderm distribution on the back is unique and interesting. It could lead to some more interesting developments like an armored yet slinky turtle-weasel-creature, although i don't think such a specialized build would fit something as clever and industrious as the shrogs.

(by the way I'm okay with comments on the description before I'm finished)

How do they interact with the seashrogs that occasionally visit the area? Is it hostile, indifferent, or even friendly?

Based on the art, they look different enough that the shrogs should be able to tell the difference. They have six eyes to see with and good color vision.

I have added the diet

While I presume that shantaks lack the capacity to threaten villages due to their, for the time being, poor swimming capabilities, I am curious how the velocidohve would interact with them, since it doesn't have that problem.

Also, I'm going to make a wild guess that the megafauna responsible for some ruined older villagers would be the flumpus.

Oh, and I bet the communal janits will just love these guys. A chance at free food AND shelter from most beach-based predators?! What's not to love?

velocidohve is tiny, I don't think it's a threat to the shrog.
