"As an adult, the argantua is largely featherless, apart from tufts along its legs and on the tip of its tail. Most of its body is covered in tiny chitinous scales, which are in reality formed from suppressed feathers. " is just missing the comma after "reality".

Also, quite a magnificent design.

There only needs to be a comma after "reality" is there is also one after "are". I excluded commas here because it sounds more natural to say it without those two pauses.

Also fixed title (name changed midway through making post lol)

I see argusraptors/large jewel-eyed saucebacks are being extinction-causing superpredators again. Pitting (heh) them against the other superpredator of the region is like summoning King Kong to fight Godzilla.

This inspires me to make a kaiju brawl with my idea...although it would be hard, because the present idea works with the lazy, predator-free, fairly small Sealkey.

This is inspired by the wildlife of Pandora, isn't it?

Now that you mention how much heat the blackflora would absorb...I wonder how many large endotherms in those biomes should go extinct from overheating in midsummer?

That is some very nice texturing.

I actually did not have pandora in mind when I made this, guess it just kinda accidentally fit into that too lol

I don't think the mid-summer heat is fatal like that unless you're a big woolly thing.

I've added more information about the blueness of the males after getting comments on the spec evo discord.

While they don't share a range (I believe), a reduction (suppression technically) in feathers would likely be an apt defense against bludblug infestations.

I am loving how brilliantly azure the males are. They're really gorgeous. I'm assuming that same coloration, however, may be why the bubblewraptors have managed to still persist where their ranges cross.

Bubblewraptors are much better at being huge carnivores than ukfauna
