....And I can see why you don't, with a name like that.

In regards to respiration, since this is a flora, I've heard the equivalent processes in earth plants referred to as dark respiration and photo respiration. The latter of course occurs only while in the light (and thus photosynthesizing) in the leaves, with the former occurring primarily at night (when plants actually take in oxygen and release CO2) as well as during the day, especially within the root systems - this is the reason why some species that dwell near/in water have aerial root systems.

Perhaps something like this could help fill in the ? of the respiration slots of various Sagan IV flora? Assuming similar processes are occurring, of course.

For flora, the method and organ of gas intake is what's listed. For most it's stomata, but innately thick and shelled flora like crystals and glass may need a different method.
