Surely a Work-In-Progress can have more material than this? This is the shortest work-in-progress I've seen.

Any updates on this?

I've made more progress on the description.

I found some typos.
"ancestors skin" Ancestors' skin.
"To insure" To ensure.

Fixed

So what exactly is going on with the third leg? It looks larger than its ancestor but is raised off the ground

Ah true, like their ancestor it's adapting to act more as a stabilizer/tail

Mind adding this to the description?

Image is done

I feel like it should have coloration and patterns to blend in with its environment. Right now it feels like it sticks out like a sore thumb.

Theoretically, this could be dealt with by making it poisonous, have a very smelly spray like a skunk, or possibly work in combination with making it unusually vicious, like badgers' possibly aposematic coloration. In the case of badgers, though, it seems they can cover their aposematic faces as necessary.

There's a typo:
"the have also are beginning". You may have meant: "They have also begun to develop"

Would this actually need coloration to protect from predators? It doesn’t currently have any in those environments that I can find

I still think it would prove beneficial. Perhaps it could have patterns or colors that aid in thermoregulation.
