I just realized I need to add more to this description.

But it's a complete submission right now anyway, my additions would just be auxiliary information.

Obsidoak is only 50 meters tall.

I thought flora could go up to 4x their ancestor's size

I was told Flora Max at 4x.

You have this stating it "doubled" in size

Oops, that was written before I was aware I could do 4x.

Thank you

To simplify it the main differences are

Heat responses in leaves in the form of hairs for shade and cuticle growth when drying out,
Tissues that produce terpenes that help form rain clouds,
Bark,
Height,
Method of reproduction
Arsenic in nonreproductive tissues
Seasonal leaf forms.

The biggest things I think are the bark and the method of reproduction, as everything else are fairly minor.

Don't forget scientific names! It appears to be absent in this submission!

How much of this should be considered consistent for all Black flora? We have a lot left ambiguous for most of them so this should be very helpful,

The vascular tubing and it's development, the root structure, and water being drawn up via evaporation, should all be found in descendents of the orange spore stalk.

The growth method of the leaf should be found in descendents of the Sunstalk, however, those would have microphyll as opposed to the full fledged leaves described in the Volleypom. They could have a spongy mesophyll, but not much going on...

The actual leaves described in this would be for descendents of the obsiditree, as that one has the actual support structures, and in it's description gives these structures gas exchange purposes.
I asked hydro about his opinion on this clarification and he was cool with it.

The way the microspores develop I think would be how anything descended from the orange spore sprout creates spores, unless otherwise stated. Though skipping the meiosis in cases of asexual reproduction.

The boreal pop sprout elaborates on descendants of the orange spore sprout that are not also part of the stalk lineage.

Bark, Megaspores, various leaf bits like trichomes rain bulbs and plastic coating, leaf phenotype shifts, these are unique.
